Mt. Charleston is mostly sport, with pinches of trad, boulder, and top rope thrown in. The Roost area, which features a huge concentration of hard routes, with pocked limestone and several caves.

Generally, the higher the grade, the better the line. Mary Jane Cliff is a good spot to find more moderate routes. Maps available at visitor center.

Stop at the visitor center to gather the desired routes and maps. Parking available at the Mary Jane Falls Trailhead with access to climbing area. Additional parking available around the mountain near desired climbing area. The Roost area is off Deer Creek Rd.
