This trailhead in the Desolation Wilderness has a few different routes that all offer great views waterfalls and giant granite cliffs.

The out and back trails to Horsetail Falls becomes increasingly more challenging as you climb towards the falls. Less skilled and adventurous hikers can still have fun by using the Pyramid Creek Loop Trail.

Parking lot available on El Dorado Fwy near trailhead. Restrooms and drinking water available in parking lot.
