If you can only do one ride in Tahoe, this is it! Big views of the lake and mountains, technical and flowy, it's got it all.
Heads up, this is a shuttle ride, so join forces with a friend or other riders. There is also a commercial service available and easily accessed at the Tunnel Creek Cafe, which is a fun place to meet up and grab a cup of caffeine, beer or a meal before and after your ride.
Starting point to access the Tahoe Rim Trail that starts northeast of Incline Village, just south of Mt. Rose ski area.
While the Tahoe Rim trail portion of the ride is more technical and advanced in sections, the Flume Trail is ideal for the beginner to intermediate rider. Few if any will have the ability to peddle this entire ride without dismounting but nothing is difficult to hike a bike past.
